Easy indeed, a fossa camera-trapped!
That’s got to be a fossa…
Is it a jaguarundi?
Nope never mind!
Yes, it is a fossa – a mongoose that occupies more or less the ecological position (and a lot of the overall anatomy) of a big cat on Madagascar (it’s the largest mammalian predator). So a jaguarundi isn’t such a daft answer, Olivia! The tail is a bit of a giveaway though…
That’s pretty cool. I’ve never seen one of those before (or HEARD of them, actually). They’re beautiful animals!
It kind of looks like a cross between a dog (head) a cat (body) and a monkey (tail).
